The duo of local businesses, owned by distant relations Phillip Wallace (Mobile Homes) and Joe Wallace (Wellingtonbridge) decided to join forces to promote the giveaway of a €100 voucher for use in store at Wallaces of Wellingtonbridge.
With summer sun on the not-too-distant horizon, the competition was an ideal opportunity for people who love to camp or holiday at their mobile home in Duncannon to keep things local and splash out on vacation essentials at Wallaces of Wellingtonbridge which hosts a variety of stores such as Costcutter, Homevalue Hardware and Garden Centre and SuperValu.
Entrants were required to interact with the brands through social media, commenting with their two cents on one thing that would happen on a typical Irish family holiday. The winner John Hogan described his favourite holiday memory as: “Loved to walk around the caravan park in the morning and get the wonderful smell of breakfasts cooking here and there. It made me hungry”.
Commenting on the competition Phillip Wallace stated: “Reading all the nostalgic, humorous, and warm comments from people who had grown up with vacations in our Mobile Homes and stating that some of their favourite childhood memories were holidaying down at Duncannon beach was fantastic. It was great to see that people still look back and speak so fondly of their time here at the Holiday Park and we hope to keep that going long into the future.”
