Frequently Asked Questions

What prices do the mobile homes start from?
The older mobile homes start from €950, which would be a 10 foot model in most cases. 12 foot mobile homes will  start around the €2,500 price range.

At most holiday parks mobile home prices will start around €20,000, although there are parks who allow older models. In those cases you should allow for a minimum of €12,000.   If the park will only accept new mobile homes expect to spend a minimum of €35,000.

Do you “buy back” the mobile home?
Yes we do. Generally we buy back from someone in a holiday park at the trade price of that year and model.   In the case of someone buying one to build a house, we generally tell people when they are buying how much we will deduct each week plus the transport cost to them when we buy it back.   For more details please ring us.

Do you rent your mobile homes?
Yes we do. If you are not sure if you would like to buy a mobile home why not rent one for a week during the summer?

We can also arrange residential rental on your own site: you pick a mobile home, and pay 6 months up front. The deposit is the balance of the full cost of the mobile home, and after 6 months we deduct the rent plus the transport from that deposit.   When you are finished we return the balance.   The rent will vary according to the cost of the mobile home. We don’t rent new models.

In the case of an emergency - like a fire in a home - we will do our best to meet your requirements. If the insurance company will guarantee the rent we will not require the full guarantee, and we will treat delivery as an urgent priority.

How can I purchase a mobile home seen on your website or at the Showground?
When you decide to purchase we require a 10% deposit. The balance must be paid in full five days before delivery.

How do I find a park to site my mobile home on?
We usually know of sites in parks we deal with on a regular basis. If there is a particular park you like, just ring them up or call around and talk to the owner about a site. If you have friends or relations on a specific site perhaps that would be the best place to start as they can introduce you to other people on the site, and advise you what the site is like.

Can I pay for the mobile home on delivery?
No, we require every mobile home to be paid for in full and cleared funds before we deliver.

What if my mobile home gets damaged whilst being delivered to me?
We have a full “Goods in transit” insurance policy which would cover any damage if that was to occur.

Where are the mobile homes?
You can view all our mobile homes at our showground at Duncannon, New Ross, Co. Wexford.

What is included in the contents of the mobile home?
You will have a living room, a kitchen/dining area, 2 or 3 bedrooms, and a bathroom with shower, toilet and wash-hand basin.   In the more luxurious models you may have an en-suite and a bath.

Do I need a strong supply of electricity?
No. Mobile homes have gas as their main source of power: the cooker, water heater, and fire are powered by gas in 99% of cases.

Central heating is run on a combi-boiler which also heats the water for showers etc. If you don’t have central heating, and are going to install storage heaters or other types of electric heating, it is essential you consult your electrician.

What gas do the mobile homes use?
Our gas engineer recommends propane gas. You can also use butane but you won’t get the full value of your gas as the pressure reduces as the bottle empties, and you need full pressure to run the water heater.  The big bottles are better value for money.

What type of regulator is used for the gas?
If you are using butane the normal flip-over top will be fine.

For propane you can get a single cylinder connection or an automatic changeover. The latter is very handy as you can change the empty one when using the second one. Do not use a regulator that has an adjustable pressure knob as these can be highly dangerous.

The hose should not be any longer than 3 ft as it will reduce pressure.

Do the mobile homes come with a gas test certificate?
No, because once a mobile home is transported any gas certificates they had are invalidated.

Do you have any after sale guarantee?
Yes, all our mobiles have a one year guarantee on the roof, and a 6 month guarantee on the appliances. Every mobile home is thoroughly checked, and in full working order before delivery.

Sometimes we get called out because of people’s lack of experience with mobile homes and their appliances, such as a using a faulty regulator, buying an adjustable pressure regulator, the water pressure may be too low for the water heater, or a number of other factors that are completely outside our control.

Please consider it may not be the mobile home that is at fault when you ring us. We will give you as much help as possible to solve the problem, and are available to talk to after normal working hours.

Is access to a site something you can advise us on?
Yes, our experienced drivers can look at your site once you have put a deposit on a mobile home.

If it is a narrow road, the entrance will need to be at least 20 feet in order to get our lorry on site. If it is a wide road but the entrance is 10 feet and you want a 12 foot mobile home, we can get it in if the piers are 4 feet or less high as the mobile will travel over the piers.

A crane is an option a lot of people use for difficult sites. It generally costs €400-700 for a smple job like lifting the mobile home over a gate or ditch. For longer lifts you will need a bigger crane and it can cost up to €1,500.

How do I set-up and connect?
